Our founder; Star, has been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, having starred in TV series back in London as well as in print / editorial work. When she moved to Australia 15 years ago & started a family; she was approached by a large talent agency in Melbourne and was astounded by their sign-on fees- charging $700+ for management fees, plus $1000+ for portfolios AND commission on top.. Also while promising regular updates which they never actually provided. Even more startling was the realisation that this was common practice for agencies Australia wide; so she decided to start her own agency; dedicated to providing honest ethical affordable representation to talent of all ages.

We teach you to create your own portfolios for free or if you prefer; we can refer you to our network of highly skilled photographers for a fraction of the price you would usually pay. Our preferred photographers charge $180 for 50 raw & 6 edited beautiful images. We have also negotiated down the costs of the casting portals which are required if you want to make a break into the industry. Our administration costs are $242 annually, which cover your own graphically designed comp card ( updated as frequently as necessary) and personal / agency profiles on the top 6 casting portals in Australia; Casting Networks, AT2, IMDB, Castsugar, Backstage & Ecaster.

We dont charge any up front management fees, due to the fact that we focus all our attention sourcing and creating opportunities for our talent to be cast, instead of providing regular updates to our talent. We are a small team and the costs involved in providing monthly updates for our talent pool of 300 would require an extra staff member and increase your joining costs. We do however offer this option to all talent, so if you would like monthly updates on the jobs you have been considered for but were unsuccessful in landing; you have the option of paying $200 annually for this service. We do not recommend this however though, purely because we will obviously call you with any news of upcoming auditions and castings; so we feel paying for the service of only hearing bad news is futile! We work on a commission only basis which means we only get paid when you do! So you can rest assured we are doing everything we can to get you cast. Our commission rates are 10-20% per job and will be explained to you each time you land a role. It can take several weeks for payment to be received after the job is complete so please be patient, also - tax obligations are the responsibility of the parent / talent.

Many agencies claim to guarantee work for their talent but we are one of the few who tell it like it is. There are absolutely no guarantees in this industry, so whilst we ensure to put you forward in the best light and as often as possible; the final decision lies with the client, not us - so we cannot guarantee placement. Some of our talent have landed contracts with household names in their first month, others like my own daughter - took 4 years to land her first paid gig and shes gorgeous! Its just the luck of the draw and whether or not your face fits what the casting director / label has in their minds eye for the part.

Our talent have had opportunities to audition opposite A list celebrities over recent years; including Ben Affleck, Gerard Butler and Johnny Depp, we have worked on casting for Disney, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Stan, Apple Tv, Channel 7, 9 & 10, ABC Kids & ABC, Bonds, Kmart, Big W, Westpac, Transport Main Roads, Frankie Jones the Label, Toshi, the list goes on & on. We work tirelessly to get you cast & give you your moment in the limelight.
