We believe in keeping costs as low as possible for our talent. With the emergence of such high quality cameras available on smartphones these days, most people have a professional camera at their fingertips...  So with a a bit of our professional guidance, we can help you take your own portfolio images using your smartphone. For our beautiful graphically designed comp cards; we require a minimum of six images. These should be a combination of head shots, full and mid length shots; see reference images below. ​

CLOTHING

We advise that you wear neutral clothing - for instance white t-shirt and Jeans or a simple dress. Avoid any garish colours, prints and logos please. For children please don't wear Disney or other cartoon type clothing. We want to see you in clothing you feel the most comfortable and confident in - wear your favourite clothes (provided they meet the above requirements) when you feel good, your photos will reflect that.

MAKE-UP

Regarding makeup - please wear as little makeup as possible, natural makeup is best. For children under 18 No makeup at all please. Our clients need to see the natural canvas they are working with. Finally; photos with filters will be rejected - please do not send these under any circumstances.

BACKDROP

Please ensure you take your images with either a natural (ie beach, park) or neutral backdrop similar to the reference images below please. Ensure there are no other people, pets or distracting objects in the background. You should be the main focus of the image. 

Good lighting is essential & children in particular photograph the best in outdoor lighting - try early morning or about 5pm; these times are whats known as 'golden hour' and provide a lovely hue to the images.

EXPRESSIONS

Provide a variety of expressions and poses please, we need to see your face in various angles to accurately represent you, we dont want smiles in every photo. We need a minimum of six images for your comp card, which means we need a minimum of ten images to choose from please, feel free to send a google drive folder if you want to send us more images over email.
